"Remains" was made in 2005 to submit to Fangoria Magazine's "FANGORIA BLOOD DRIVE II" contest.  The winners would be included in the release of that DVD.  This film wasn't picked.  In fact, if you listen to the commentary on the disc, you'll hear the judges bitching about all the zombie movies they received.  There was a palpable disdain in their voices making me believe that they probably didn't get beyond the first shot of "Remains", tossing it out of the competition along with all the others that dared to feature flesh-eating ghouls.  The Walking Dead was still years away from making zombies popular again, but at the time they were certainly not in vogue.  However, "Remains" found it's home as a supplemental bonus in that year's release of SINISTRE on DVD.
